My Ryzen 7 2700 sits in an Antec 300 case. And I got my i7-7700 free from a family member in the form of a Dell XPS 8920, with a 1050ti and 16GB of DDR4. I installed my Western Digital SN750 Black 500GB NVME to make a nice backup gaming rig.

I didnt know they still made dual core cpus. Who would even buy this, tho? I thought 4 core would be the lowest anyone would go.

Tbh I was surprised how well the GPU perform are in some titles and HellDivers 2 could’ve been upped to medium texture settings with the available vram and performance on the table. It’s a shame that new games engines like UE5 are ruining these perfectly fine gpus with vram requirements for a slightly better image quality!

I know this video is a year old, but I got this exact card for free from my gaming stepdaughter that moved recently and I have to say its a massive card. I remember when these first released but never could afford one then. I am pretty sure this card will work great for all legacy gaming up to PS2 and Gamecube emulation. So I think this Titan still has plenty of life left in it.

My current gaming rig case has the white version of that Corsair case, and I absolutely love it. Lots of space for fans and radiators on the front and top sides in addition to the 1 fan at the rear. And like you said, lots of space to hide the PSU cables on the backside of the motherboard which is very nice. Additionally, the case has 2 caddies for sliding in 3.5" drives (or 2.5" drives with adapter sleds) with mounted connectors which is so cool (you can see the sleds at 5:35). Also there is room for up to 4 additional 2.5" drives on the backside next to the PSU as well (shown at 5:46). I doubt I will ever need to upgrade this case as it is functionally perfect.

I've been looking for one of those 7700K but they're so expensive for something that old.

I play ratchet and clank rift apart and horizon forbidden west on my 5500 rpm apple laptop hdd and i am super suprised coming from an nvme that even the first jumping through dimensions isnt taking more than maybe 3 seconds more to load the first time, the 2nd time around it loads instant just like the nvme so a 2nd playthrouh is even better on an hdd when all shaders are compiled and so on

Corsair Carbide Air! 540 such a great case had mine for years, had quad crossfire build in it AMD R9 295x2 and dual 290x's damn that thing was unpractical and awesome

Huh i thought the iets gt500 was still the highest rated. It can cool my laptop without the laptops fans helping... And msi laptops are known for their horrible cooling especially during Intel 10th gen lol.

A case is not a case without a blood drop or two.

In 2008 I made a pc with that Antec case- sold it in 2014… maybe that’s it!

I have that exact case in my lounge, my colleague at work is into music production and just upgraded his music production PC. He gave me his old one. Hence those massive foam pads. They're to quieten the noise coming from the machine. Nice cases though and loads of drive slots.

7700k not that bad you pair it with low end GPU 3050..... 7700k will be pretty fine using rtx 4060 even on 1080p

That ASUS reminded me of the 1st GPU I ever bought; an AMD ASUS HD 7770. Made me choke a little bit of how the journey has been. Thank you very much for giving older silicon new life.

How big of a difference does enabling FSR2/3 make at 1440p on this card? I think that would make sense since this is more of a 1080p card

Oh no... i know this case, company i work at builds pc in those... i build in these... there is a version with glass side panel and rgb fans and let me tell you its pure *PAIN* everytime, you never meant to put dvd drives in there as well as closing the side panel after cable managing the damn thing with cheap psu that has short cables and sata ssd and hdd

Thanks for the video! My suggestions on cheap and sensible upgrades: 1. The antec needs an i7 3770(k) or a 3rd gen xeon from ali and someting like a 1070 or 1660. Four cores don't really cut it anymore these days. 2. The corsair needs a 1080 or a 6600 and that's that. And you are right: why would you build a new machine around the 7700(k) when the i3-10100 exists and offers an upgrade path? Not to mention 3rd gen Ryzens...

I've got that corsair case in white, been running it for about 9/10 years now, plenty of space in it so never seen a reason to replace it 😅

Your "assistant" gets distracted way too easily! That Corsair case is a monster. 7700K is getting a bit dated for gaming but an RTX 3050 is a really good GPU for it to work with. Looking forward to seeing more.

Looks similar to mine, my two biggest problems with it is how some screw holes instantly stripped out, and the fact that I can’t seem to find any case worth upgrading to! It’s just a super space-efficient case, I like it.
